Master Drive Services has been operating since 1992. The origins of Master Drive Services are from within the Ministry of Transport. The original organisation was established by a number of ex Ministry of Transport driver education staff following the merger of the Ministry of Transport and the Police in 1992.
Our focus
Master Drive Services sees itself as a professional training provider to operators of heavy vehicles (including buses), light fleet vehicles, specialist vehicles and plant (including forklifts) and the warehousing and distribution sector. In addition we provide - (a) instructor training for people wishing to become a licensed driving instructor and/or heavy vehicle in-house trainer and (b) assessor training for those working towards a workplace assessor qualification.
Our primary thrust is in the provision of services in the areas of safety, legal compliance, licensing, risk management, cost reduction and operational efficiency.
Whilst principally offering support to the transport and distribution industries Master Drive Services also services a number of industries/sectors outside road transport and distribution where existing skills and services are transferable. These sectors include Agriculture, Horticulture, Contracting, Engineering, Mining, Dairy, Utilities, Defence, Central and Local Government, and with light motor vehicles in particular any organisation which requires its employees to use a motor vehicle for work purposes.
National coverage
Master Drive Services has strong geographic representation providing nationwide coverage with training specialists based in branches throughout New Zealand. The Head Office of the Company is in Seaview, Lower Hutt.
